There is so much less tension than the last 500 I watched even a few years ago. The breaks are clearly designed for long commercial breaks (ie. more money), and I’ve never seen so much talking for such little racing.

How do you make 800hp, 180mph race cars boring? I don’t know but NASCAR freaking figured it out.

EDIT: well now they’re finally racing, or something... Yay Daytona 166!

It’s finally starting to liven up a bit. Stopping the race at the end of each stage is dumb though.

Yeah, it’s basically just a 60 lap race which is what I thought would happen.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. The first two “stages” were meaningless as most just waited until the final stage to push.
